At that time the factory was running under the name FAB being already then one of the most significant suppliers of various locks and locking components in Czech Republic.
Since late 90’s the factory has been a member of Assa Abloy group. During the past years the production capacity has grown a lot resulting to a need to modernize also the old plating lines and processes.

Galvatek was chosen to supply the modernisation work after an international bidding process. Besides a competitive price / quality relation Galvatek experience in locking industry and from the original plant delivery were decisive factors in the supplier selection. Galvatek has also got long lasting relations with professional partners in Czech Republic who were strongly involved in the delivery.
Main scope of the work was to change the old rack – and barrel Zn plating plant to a Cu-Ni and Cr plant. The Cr process has been made according to latest standards with Cr-3 and the plant can treat also parts with Velour Ni. The modernised plant can treat both racks and barrels.
The high automation degree was accomplished with the Galvatek GalCont control system.
